Thanks for the Insult!

OK, so I know i didn't look the best yesterday – 8 hours on a bus followed by no sleep due to the thunderstorm isn't the best beauty treatment, but you really don't expect the question

“Are you a drifter?”

on your way home from work...

C'mon, Thanks for making me feel like a wandering hobo!

P.S. I don't do resolutions – they interfere with my planned life of pure hedonism!

Oh and Happy New Year to Everyone!

Hey Jeanie,

**with best attempt to hold laughter (just coz its a little funny, and not out of mockery)**
Who said that??

Dont worry, you can never look like a drifter... well, at least not like any of the drifters over here...

Oh and about the resolutions thing, i do make 1(one) resolution, one that i definitely do not intend to keep (exactly what people end up doing with resolutions). And that is to make some resolutions...

Oh, and at the risk of being admin-ed, i would like to request posting rights on the blog (and i'm not talking about 'comments') yet again, hopefully for the last time until someone tells me why not. Its not that i have a whole list of things to post, just that it would be a good gesture on part of the administrator(s), dont you think? And if its not acceptable, then reasons for the same would be highly appreciated. I mean what exactly is the qualifying criteria?

Ooooooo, i have an idea...
How about a poll? Let the citizens of traineeschd.blogspot.com decide. But then again, seeing the response the polls usually get, i'm not sure of how effective that would be..

Kush...why do you wanna post in this blog...? is already dead...since Kent left the spirit of this nice blog died...

For the "Traineeship in Chandigarh" blog, i would imagine the qualifying criteria would be to be doing... a traineeship in Chandigarh!

Seems quite simple! But it may be irrelevant as the last i heard from Kent he was getting attacked by men weilding blades across his face all over India, so our dying blog may also have a dying administrator...

That's it! Enough with the dying blog already & start posting...

i wouldn't use the dying word too...

And Ryan, not to be overly technical, but Samantha isn't exactly doing a "Traineeship in Chandigarh"... is she??

Oh, and Samantha, please do not take that last sentence personally, really... I'm not directing anything towards you, just using it as an example... wel, actually, THE example :)

Samantha is still a foreigner working here away from her friends and family - and while, technically, she may not be a trainee, she is still in the same position as us.

In that case, you should have defined the qualifying criteria a little clearly, as follows:

1. Foreigner
The free Dictionary defines foreigner as
a. One who is from a foreign country or place.
b. One who is from outside a particular group or community; an outsider.

The first definition is very unreliable as 'place' is not well defined. The second again is relative, exempli gratia, from among the current members of the blog, i'm the foreigner here.

2. Away from friends and family
Away from friends?? You'll always be 'away' from 'some' or more of your friends my dear. So dont use that excuse. And how many people here live 'with' their families back in their own countries??

3. Working in Chandigarh

4. The same position as us
assuming us refers to the current members of the blog, its quite unclear what this refers to, i'm assuming it refers to the situation when the first 3 conditions hold good.

So, i just established the second condition to be redundant and i already qualify the third one !!...
But dont worry, i'll end this discussion here. So, lets define foreigner as an individual of non-Indian origin and holding a non-Indian passport. I think that safely excludes me, eh?

Well, with that, i wont bother mentioning about it anymore.

p.s.: Lets see if this post, or any of my subsequent posts suffer admin deletion on grounds of radical content

Keep the blog alive! I'm starting a campaign or a petition or something.

I think we should have a word limit on comments...

Sorry to say this, but as long as blogspot/blogger is the provider, the option of any character (not word) limit is unavailable.

If anyone's thinking of moving, here's a list of Weblog Sites:

Oh, sorry for two consecutive posts, but i think i'll go with Nacho's comment about the 'nice'ness of the blog...

Such hostility....!!!

tsk tsk tsk...

ignacio said...

HOLY SHIT...THIS IS CRAP...PLEASE STOP DOING THIS...IF YOU CAN POST DO IT IF YOU CAN'T I DON'T KNOW.

Nacho, i'm ready to stop when others do.
I may be Indian, but i'm not Gandhi that i'll put forward my other cheek if you slap me. I never meant to be disrespectful to anyone, and i never was, not even now...

Its just that what i said was not taken as being JUST A JOKE (!!...), the treatment it might have received if "I" wasn't the speaker...

Oh, and current, or future, admins of the blog... If you completely delete all these threads, especially my comments, so much for the freedom of speech, eh?

And, before you consider enabling "Only Members of this Blog" in the "Who Can Comment?" section, consider this... That removes the possibility of some things happening... like the time Kent's mom put a comment because she was worried about him and was unable to contact him. Oh, and if i remember correctly, that's how Samantha started using the blog too... So...
