I Finally Figured it Out

You guys all know the song "Rock the Party" by Bombay Rockers, right? So you also know how the song goes. It starts with some hindi and then it's like "I don't know what you're sayin, all i know is that I came here to party." I, for one, had no idea what the hell that line meant until I saw the music video.

As it turns out, the bombay rockers have a white guy in the group. The start of the music video has this white guy and an Indian guy riding in a convertible with the Indian guy saying the Hindi words. Then, the white guy says, in other words, "I don't speak hindi...all I want to do is party." The rest of the video is trash, but it's worth a watch if you get the chance.

Sorry to hear about the cockroaches...."The ironing is delicious," isn't it, Jean?

Thanks for the concern Kent, but don’t worry they’re gone now so wipe that smug smile off your face! It’s back to being villa de luxury – we got ‘furniture’ last night!!

Well, as it turns out Nacheeta, you did spell it wrong
[Oh, i know words ending with 'a' in Spanish are feminine. Did that in relation to your particiaption in the "Roach Genocide"; and everyone's fascination with the Tiger (Cheetah is the hindi name for a leopard/panther)... pun totally intended] ;P

And just in case there's an iota of a chance that someone actually likes that song, it goes like this:

"Teri to teri taa(n)
Hameshaa yaad sataave,
I dont know, what you're saying,
all i know is that i came to party."

.......
Pronunciation key(for the Punjabi, NOT Hindi part)(and only the vowels, i think you can manage the consonants):
'e': as in Voskresija
'i': as in Nicholas
'o': as in Arno
'aa(n)': as 'ain' in Germain
'a': as in Ryan
'aa': as 'a' in Nacho
.......

And just so you know, the translation of the Punjabi part is close to the frequently used "I think of you all the time" in English, although that's the translation of the idea behind the sentence. If you want a literal translation, its more like "Your thoughts keep troubling me all the time".

And since i've already written so much for the Bombay Rockers 'fans', here's some more info:
The guy singing in Punjabi has (of course) Indian parents, but was born in Copenhagen. So, no prize for guessing where the other guy is from. The Indian looking Danish is Navtej Singh Rehal (Naf) and the Danish looking Danish is Thomas Sardorf (Thomsen/Jack). And now, in case someone's still interested in finding out more, go to
http://bombayrockers.com/Black.html and click on 'NAF' or 'THOMAS' on the side panel.

Nacho,
very bad dude... resorting to expletives...tsk tsk tsk...

As far as translating that and replying to it is concerned, well, you should know that all it takes is a good search query. But i'm not gonna resort to foul language... ;P
Nevertheless, i do know what is meant by what you wrote, thanks to the nice people at insultmonger...

And about the Tiger thing, that was the main pun, referring to the 'courage' demostrated during the 'episode', hehehe. :)

By the way, Cheetah IS originally Hindi, and it traces back to Sanskrit.
