Here's My Home

I grew up just outside a smallish town on the praries where it mostly looked like this.

I spent most of my weekends here at Lake Louise and other ski hills.

And for the last few years I called Edmonton home but now I'm kind of homeless. If you have a home for me, let me know.

flames suck? Good one. If you can get away with that claim, then I can say the eskies suck and are gonna choke the chicken in the Grey Cup.

fair enough, it's just hard not bashing Kent and his first love, the flames and hockey.

Thanks for the offer to live in 38 but I hear that two drunk ass crazies live there and party with cockroaches all the time.

Oh,

since someone mentioned drinking, i found something...

Reserchers at the Oregon State University claim to have discovered that a compund (xanthohumol) found only in hops (which is used in and is responsible for the bitter taste of beer) might be helpful in preventing many types of cancer.

Read the entire article (a little boring as it is a bit technical with all those medical terms) at Biology News Net.
Some excerpts from the article

"...A 'health beer' with enhanced levels of the compound is already being developed..."

"...It showed toxicity to human breast, colon and ovarian cancer cells, and most recently has shown some activity against prostate cancer..."

And people who dont have anything to do at work can read user comments (some quite funny), and post if they feel like, at Slashdot.

p.s.: Since i cant post on the main page, if anyone feels this is worth mentioning "out there", somebody do the honours. ;)
